Fleck 5600 Parts Identification Guide
Share
The Fleck 5600 has multiple timer and service configurations. Part selection should follow the valve label and the parts tables in the Pentair service manual, not a visual guess from a product photo.
Start with the piston configuration
The service manual lists three piston types separately: the standard piston 13247, a low-water piston, and a filter piston. Those parts control different water paths. Confirm whether the equipment is a softener or filter and match the existing piston before selecting a replacement.
Seal and spacer service
Fleck number 60125 is listed as an upper seal-and-spacer kit in the 5600/9000/9100 family documentation. It should not be confused with the 60421 lower kit used in 9000/9100 valves. The 5600 service manual requires the piston to be removed before seals and spacers are accessed. Internal service should be performed only after power and pressure are isolated.
Injector and brine components
The 5600 manual identifies injector body 13163, injector screen 10227, and injector cover 13166. Injector nozzle and throat sizes vary with the tank and application, so the color or number must be matched to the existing configuration. Brine-valve components including stem 13172, seat 12626, cap 13165, and spacer 13167 are separate references.
Flow-control and plumbing differences
Brine-line flow-control buttons are flow-rated parts. The catalog includes 12094, 12095, and 12097 references for different rates; those numbers are not interchangeable defaults. The 18706 1-inch NPT yoke and 18706-02 3/4-inch NPT yoke likewise represent different plumbing sizes.

Safety: follow the service manual. Shut off water, bypass the unit, disconnect power, and relieve pressure before opening the control valve. Use a qualified water-treatment professional when the valve configuration is uncertain.
