Fleck 9000 vs. 9100 Parts: What the Service Manual Shows

Fleck 9000 and 9100 systems are twin-tank control valves, but the model names do not make every valve-body, meter, or tank-adapter component interchangeable. Use the exact model label and OEM number from the Pentair 9000/9100/9500 service manual.

Two piston positions and two seal-kit positions

The manual shows an upper piston and a lower piston for the 9000/9100 valve path. It lists upper piston assembly 60400 and lower piston assembly 60401 families with configuration-specific suffixes. The upper seal-and-spacer position uses 60125; the lower position uses 60421. Ordering one kit for the other position is not a valid substitution.

Parts shared in the manual

The 9000 and 9100 valve tables list several common service references, including injector screen 10227, injector cap 13166, brine-valve seat 12626, spacer 13167, and cap 13165. Shared listing in these tables does not eliminate configuration checks for injector size, flow controls, hot-water versions, or material suffixes.

Model-specific assemblies still matter

The service manual provides separate 9000 and 9100 control-valve drawings, separate second-tank assemblies, and different valve-body references. Meter size and the cable or adapter arrangement also vary. Record the valve-body label, plumbing size, meter type, and every suffix from the existing part.
